Willard Romney, "Mitt" to his friends in the press, ran for President in 2012 under a very odd platform. He was opposing Obamacare, the so-called "Affordable care Act" pushed by Barack Hussein Obama in a blatant effort to socialize medical care in the United States of America. It burdened families who couldn't afford health insurance with a tax penalty, stealing money from the already poor. it took the work done by private business and handed it over to government bureaucracies. It was the worst thing to happen tho the US health care system in living memory.
And it was based on something Mitt Romney designed and pushed when he was governor of Massachusetts.
The 2006 Massachusetts health care insurance reform law, officially titled An Act Providing Access to Affordable, Quality, Accountable Health Care (informally referred to as Romneycare) is a state law proposed by and signed by then-governor Mitt Romney
That was Romney's biggest claim to fame, opposition to something he himself signed into law. During the primaries many Rick Santorum supporters referred to Obama care as "Romneycare: Federal Edition" which was a perfectly reasonable description.
Mitt Romney is a socialist, plain and simple. He favors big government and government intrusion into the patient / doctor relationship. He is no better than Obama, and anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or lying.
